Alhinai enjoys producing literary works, including fictional stories, creative nonfiction, and essays,  in English and Arabic. Her fictional Arabic short story, “al-Qaydh,” (The Heat) was published in Aswat Muasira: Short Stories  for Advanced Arabic (Georgetown University Press 2022), alongside the short stories of Egyptian Nobel Laureate Naguib Mahfouz and the renowned Lebanese author and poet Mikhail Naimy.
